Carling Academy Islington

The Carling Academy Islington is a music venue in Islington, London, England run by the Academy Music Group. The main venue has a capacity of 800, and the adjacent Bar Academy holds 250. The venue, which forms part of the N1 Centre, was purpose built and opened in September 2002. The original occupant was the short lived Marquee Club, a music and dining venue backed by David A. Fulham Railway Bridge crosses the River Thames in London. It is very close to Putney Bridge, and carries the London Underground District Line between Putney Bridge station on the North, and East Putney station on the South. Fulham Railway Bridge can also be crossed on foot.
