Bush House is a building between Aldwych and The Strand in London. It is primarily home to the BBC's World Service department, which occupies 4 of the 5 wings.

This quintessentially British building was commissioned, designed and originally owned by American individuals and companies. Irving T Bush gained approval for his plans for the building in 1919, which was planned as a major new trade centre and designed by American architect Harvey W Corbett.

Broadcasting House is the headquarters of the BBC in London. Situated in Portland Place, it is normally home to Radio 2, 3, 4, 6 Music and BBC 7. Architect G Val Myer designed the building in collaboration with the BBC's civil engineer, M T Tudsbery.

Broadcasting House was officially opened on May 14, 1932 and is now Grade II listed.

Channel 4 is a public service television broadcaster in the United Kingdom. It was created by an Act of Parliament and started broadcasting on November 2, 1982. Like the nation's long established public service broadcaster, the BBC, it has gifted broadcasting frequencies, but it does not receive funding from the Television Licence income.

It is a publicly owned corporation whose board is appointed by OFCOM, in agreement with the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport. Like the BBC, it has a public-service remit. It also has an obligation to provide schools programming.

All programming is financed through its commercial activities, which includes advertising.

The Crystal Palace Transmitter is a telecommunications tower in the Crystal Palace area of South London. Today it is the second-tallest structure in London. It is best-known as the main television transmitter for the London area.

The South Bank is the area in London on the southern bank of the River Thames near Waterloo station that houses a number of important cultural buildings/institutions. It was the site of the 1951 Festival of Britain, which proposed the name for this post-war urban regeneration project; the ancient name of the area is Lambeth Marsh and Lower Marsh.

The British Broadcasting Corporation, invariably known as the BBC (and also informally known as the Beeb or Auntie) is the largest broadcasting corporation in the world, employing 26,000 staff in the UK alone and with a budget of £4 billion.
